Assignment 2: Scientific Method

Experiment- a test, trail, or tentative procedure; an act or operation for the purpose of discovering something unknowing or of testing a principle, supposition

Objective-something that one's efforts or actions are intended to attain or accomplish

Data-individual facts, statistics, or item of information

Hypothesis-is proposition assumed as a premise in an argument

Controls-to test or verify (a scientific experiment) by a parallel experiment or other standard of comparison

Independent Variable- a variable that is intentionally changed to observe it effect on the independent variable

Dependent Variable-the event studied and expected to change when the independent variable is changed

Observation- an act or instance of regarding attentively or watching

Inference- the process of deriving the strict  the strict logical consequences of assumed premises

Procedure- an act or a manner of proceeding in any action or process; conduct
